The purpose of this viral video is to create buzz around a new product that we will be launching in a few months. We work in the business-to-business space. That being said, we will want this video to create buzz in the business world just as much as the consumer world, as in—consumers will like the applications the mobile solution provides and the businesses will benefit from it because the consumers will be heavy app users. This should be kept in mind when positioning the video.
The video will be presented at our exhibitor booth at an upcoming conference. As it is meant to create buzz and not be a “solutions overview” video, we do not anticipate every detail of the product being included in the video, but only a few highlights with attention grabbing imagery and design to build curiosity and hopefully spark conversation. I have offered description of some of the features of the product below. This being said, we don’t want this to be a features/functions video. We would prefer something that tells a story and shows how the app could benefit “your” (the general “your”) business.
The product is an enterprise mobile solution. Along with the design and maintenance of the mobile platform on which applications sit, we also create industry-specific smartphone applications and communication features that leverage geolocation and call center integration to enhance the customer service experience provided on the smarthphone, while also opening the door for marketing opportunities.
These communication features include
• “Tell Us You’re Coming” feature: Allows the mobile user to let a place of business know that they’re coming so that they may prepare accordingly (get their dry cleaning ready, pull clothes from the rack that exist on their shopping list, etc.)
• “Call Me” feature: Rather than sit on hold waiting for a call center agent to pick up, the mobile user can select “call me” which will submit them to the organization’s call center queue. A call center agent can then pick it up in the queue and call the mobile user back. No waiting on hold. No horrible 1-800 hold music.
Geolocation allows the organization to locate where the smartphone user is and offer targeted messaging based on that location. Offering an individual a $.50 off coupon for a latte as they walk by a Starbucks, for instance.
The attached powerpoint deck also shows slides of some industry-specific applications created for Supermarkets and Consumer Package Goods companies. Feel free to use anything from the powerpoint deck.
The key differentiator for this mobile solution is the smartphone platform itself. It ensures that all applications will work on Operating Systems (OS). Most applications have to be built out separately for each OS (Android, iPhone, Microsoft OS, etc.) and must be continuously tested, updated and maintained. This is very time-consuming and expensive. Our mobile solution is automatically updated and maintained, supporting all OS so the organization doesn’t have to spend time/money on resources to continuously test and update applications for each OS.
We LOVE the idea of designing it like a Google Search Story, but we trust the creativity of the contestants!
