- We are creating a new type of employment website that is different from the traditional sites such as Monster and HotJobs due to the fact that we are going to be focusing on getting potential employees (both currently employed and unemployed) to put their resume on our site in a searchable format and allow employers to search and review candidates based upon their search criteria (rather than simply posting jobs and waiting for people to send in their resumes).
The site is intended to be somewhat viral in nature as we will have multiple contests running at any given time where users who post their resume and then get their friends and coworkers to recommend them on the site will have the opportunity to win cash money.
We are currently visualizing the site as a combination of Monster's power resume search combined with LinkedIn.
We had a name and domain, unfortunately our attorneys advised us that we may have trademark issues with the name we had chosen, so we are now looking for a new company name and domain that goes along with it. We are not opposed to completely original names so long as it at least sort of sounds like something appropriate for our concept.
We are also willing to pay for a domain so long as it is offered for sale at a reasonable price. Final determination of a winner may have to wait until negotiations are finished in the event that the domain recommended is one that requires a purchase. - Domains We Like
