- We are a start-up company looking for both a name and an obvious web domain. We match up compatible singles into a team of 12 (6 women and 6 men) and send them on a month long series of volunteer activities with non-profits in their community. No online profiles to write, read or fake. No blind dates or awkward mixer parties. The volunteers have a task to perform and the frequent interaction allows for chemistry to develop and hopefully, romance to bloom. We also offer group activities that are social (like a series of cooking classes) or cultural (working with a gallery on an art installation project.)
The name should be classy and not be embarrassing to leave as a message with non-profits, vendors or members. There will be a tag line that accompanies the name and logo. The service is for the 40-60 year old demographic.
Ideally, the name should:
o Appeal to men as well as women
o Be clever
o Be memorable and easy to understand
o Tie in some way to the notion of giving (time) to get back (friendship, romance)
o Appeal to a young thinking and feeling crowd
We do NOT want a name that
o Uses “Over 40” (We can do that in the tagline)
o Is cutesy or mushy
o Contains the word “match” (because of Match.com)
o Uses “volunteer” or “philanthropic” (too long or easily misspelled)
