  • Detailed Brief
  • We are looking for an interesting and creative name + domain for our website. We help fund projects aimed at making a difference in the world, such as helping other people, environmental projects, helping animals.

People who want to make a difference and have an idea how, but don't have money to fund it, can get their projects funded by people who wish to contribute and make it happen.

People who contribute will receive different rewards from project creators for their contributions.

The concept of the website is similar to kickstarter.com and indiegogo.com, but we are oriented solely on personal projects of committed individuals aimed at making the world a better place.

The name has to be easy to convey and understand without spelling, yet short enough to remember it easily. It should associate with the general idea of our company, create positive and empowering thoughts. With us, you CAN make a difference.

VERY IMPORTANT: We do not want long names, abbreviations, names that are hard to spell and pronounce. Before submitting an entry, try to pronounce the name yourself and imagine that you have to say it on the phone 100 times a day, would you choose it?

We connect people with ideas to people with desire to change the world.

Thank you for taking your part in making the world a better place!

We can just sort them by date, so it's no trouble - all of the entries that weren't rated end up on the top, so we don't even notice which ones were deleted.

The latest submissions after our last message are really good but we'd appreciate even more. Thank you!

Appreciate your honesty and direct approach. Much rather have a one or two than to sit here and not know if they were looked at ... thanks.
On your end, if new ones are submitted, are you able to view them as new or do you have to look through the entire group and pick them out ...Just curious. Does it help you for us to delete on this end?

We would like to thank everybody for the good work, and bring you up to speed with what's going on.

Many of you are seeing your entries get low ratings, there are several main reasons why this is happening.
1.The name you submitted might be hard to convey over the phone or radio without spelling: these are names with numbers in them, with words purposefully misspelled, names that are too long, made up words that need spelling to understand, etc.
    2. They don't create the right associations. Even if it seems that certain names contain good words and a strong message, the first impression can be way off; or they seem to be completely off the subject.

We are rating all of the new submissions several times a day so you can review them and withdraw the ones we didn't like. We know it's hard work to come up with a perfect domain name these days when all of them are taken, and that's why we need your creativity!

Thank you for your time and keep up the good work!

Thank you for being a CH that continues to give feedback. You are a jewel to provide this interaction. It keeps us motivated and on search for that perfect name. We check back every few hours and you are about the only one out of many contests that have provided feedback and stayed on top of it. After we receive ratings, and if they are low we can remove those and resubmit, whereas if the submissions sit there with no rating at all, we have no idea if they have been reviewed or dismissed. So, thank you for that. Happy New Year.

    Hi everybody,

We're getting a lot of entries and that is fantastic. However, as you can see, not many entries get 3 stars or more. The main reason for this is that most of the entries are totally random pairs of words that either don't make much sense, or create wrong associations. Sure, they consist of related words, but that doesn't mean it's good and clever. We want a name that would be clever, catchy, and unique. A name that wouldn't look like we just took two random words and put them together - a name like that is easy to forget. So far there have only been a few that we liked, mostly of the good associations that they create, but they are still pretty easy to forget.

Also, we have received questions about whether or not to use made up words, and the answer is yes. Unfortunately we haven't received enough of those either. A made up name is good as long as it's short (no chance of getting any 4-letter domains, but anything of 5-6 letters may work). And the same rules apply: it has to be clever, catchy, and unique.

Thank you all for your time!

    Mike & Max.

We are open to made-up words as long as they are easy to pronounce and remember
