  • Hello! I'm starting a website company with a bit of spark! After a creative name that's interesting and avoids the stereotypical IT image.
    Very excited to see what people can come up with!

    1 - What the company does: a web development company for human beings not tech heads. The idea is that the average person on the street could see the name, go to the website, and identify with the brand.

    2 - Brand name needs to convey: professional, passionate, not too serious (but not silly or juvenile either)

    3 - Personality:
    - If my business was a public figure: Johnny Depp meets Brad Pitt
    - If my business was a clothing line: lacoste
    - If my business was an age: 35
    - If my business drove a car: Audi TT

    4 - The brand also needs to be easily pronounceable and rolls of the tongue

    5 - Don't want: the usual 'IT company' image e.g. 'webprofits.com.au', 'dreamconsultancy.com.au', 'Total IT solutions'. Basically I'm trying to get away from the stereotypical IT image of 'Solutions', 'consultants', 'maximize' and 'efficiency'. Also not after any technical jargon like 'SEO, 'technology', 'pc', 'web' etc..

    6 - Do want: a little bit funky, passionate and very real. Simple is good, preferably 1-3 syllables. The vibe I'm after is a name like zagg, twitter, yammer etc...

    7 - The URL needs to be available as either a .com or com.au (I'm from Australia)

    8 - Idea's I've thought of myself:
    - firebear (I own this domain). This one doesn't really mean anything but it just sounded ok. This was my best effort that I could think of but I feel it doesn't really capture the emotions or vibe correctly (see point 2 and 3 for the vibe I'm after)
    - evergood - domain not available
    - zagg - domain not available
    - elevenmedia.com.au (this is another page but it's a pretty good url and name

    If the .com is available it's better, but if there's just the .com.au that's more than fine too!
