Hi Folks,
Thanks to date for the submissions so far. Right now it's looking like our target audience is a bit too niche for this type of contest.. or it's just not the right way to go about building an online community (as evidence by the low number of new users generated to date.. ie 1).
Oh well, live and learn.. but we did guarantee this contest. So we're calling an audible and stretching the rules!
In addition to the current entries, and any other ones in this genre.. We will consider *any* legitimate attempt to help us reach our goal of boot strapping a vibrant U.S. Citizenship related community. This includes:
- SEO Advice or links that help our SEO for forum.stepbystepcitizenship.com
- General Marketing Suggestions
- Articles/Content
- Really good questions posted at the site
- Active participation from you or someone you refer
- Number of Personal referrals
- Etc

Hello Squadhelp,
We were thrilled with the help you provided in testing our website.. so now we're turning to you again for TWO more contests. With this first contest, we'd like your help in kick starting our FREE online community devoted to U.S. Citizenship. Anyone can join, and the intention is to create a place where people can get answers to their questions and share their experiences. It's the forum we'll use for support for our Step By Step Citizenship site, but anyone can post - whether or not they are using our service.
From a business perspective, we hope that if we achieve critical mass with the free forum, it will generate enough traffic over to our paid offering to generate our revenue stream... and that's where the second contest will kick in. After this contests ends, we're planning on setting up another one to drive traffic to our paid product. Hopefully our forum will be a success, our paid product will start gaining momentum, and we'll be in a very generous mood!
To summarize our request:
- We're looking for people to join our forum. Anyone can join, and frankly if that's all you do it would be a help because it will get us over the chicken and egg thing (nobody wants to participate in a forum with nobody in it). If you have any legitimate U.S. Citizenship questions, post away (just don't post random stuff for the sake of it)
- We're looking for people who are familiar with the U.S. Citizenship process to share their stories and answer questions
- We're looking for people who are applying to be U.S. Citizens to post their questions.. and hopefully get answers
Finally, just to emphasize general contest rules - please only drive legitimate traffic in legitimate ways. No spamming, no inserting random links in random places, no trolling for people on other immigration forums.
