  • I currently own two businesses, the first is ComData Solutions. This company sells, installs and supports VoIP phone systems, business class wifi networks, video conferencing, and other business class technology products and services. Managed Telecom provides hosted VoIP phone services and has recently achieved CLEC status (competitive local exchange carrier). This means that we are a full fledged communications company and can provide most of the same services as a company like at&t, but only on a local or regional basis.

This means we can provide a multitude of Internet and connectivity solution like T1, DS3, ADSL, VDSL, Ethernet over Copper and fiber connectivity.

One important note is that we only provide our services to businesses, no consumer or residential.

Our company does not compete on price, many times we are more expensive than our competitors. We offer a business or enterprise class of products and services. Cheap we are not.....

I challenge you try and speak out loud (- the dot com) the names and see how it sounds. Is it easy to say and is easy for the other person to understand?

There are some good choices, but I would like to see some "made up" names like the two I suggested in an earlier post.

Sorry for the typos, doldrums should be "sold". Sometimes this iPad corrects things very strangely.

I am looking for a new company name and just happen to need the domain to go with it. We sale our services and products locally and regionally with outside salesmen. We have never doldrums anything through the web. Nobody orders a $150,000 phone system overvthe web, or at least they shouldn't.

So, I need a company name that sounds good when you are saying it verbally to someone in person or on the phone. A good test is to try and say out loud , hello, my name is Johnny and I'm with insert company name here"and see how it sounds. And we would never ever say the .com part of the name.

Because we are strictly a business to business provider, we need the name to be "corporate" sounding, not cute of whimsical.

Don't get too hung up in the tele prefix.

A couple of examples of names that are made up that sound cool: Synetra and Axigent. These are just a couple that I know of, these are local competitors, so I don't want anything too close.

I really don't want VoIP in the name, too many people don't really know what it means or thinks it means something it doesn't. I do like IP,.

The tag words I chose are optional, if they work, great, if not that's ok to. At the end of the day we are a technology company that also provides telecom services as well. Not saying that the Internet services are less important.

A "made up" name or word is fine as long as it is easy to spell and pronounce. I'm also ok is the name has a number in it as long as sounds good. I am looking for one name to replace the two that I currently operate under.
