  • My head hurts from banging it against a brick wall trying to come up with a name for our new web startup. Our software is an outsourcing marketplace, like elance.com. We have a killer product, now we just need a great name .

    Some names we like but are unfortunately taken:

    Brainiac.com (my favorite)
    huddle.com
    freeagent.com
    collaborist.com
    smartypants.com
    getagig.com
    ingenious.com
    smartmart.com

    We’re trying to stay away from the elance, scriptlance, <>lance concept. Would love something nice and catchy with web 2.0 feel. Prefer short, one or two syllable names.

    Everyone,

    Please keep the submissions on the shorter side. When I posted the contest, I could have sworn I checked for under 12 character submissions but I guess it did not take :). I won't rule out a really great long name but the preference is certainly towards 1-2 syllable names that are 12 characters or less.
