- Detailed Brief
- I recently accepted a job in France so my wife and I would like to have a blog to document our experiences. She's an incredible writer with a pending offer from a publisher and I'm a web developer/graphic designer, and a former editorial photographer. We're thinking with our talents put together, we can make a pretty interesting blog.
We want to post about events that we attend, places we go, food that we eat, recipes, art, cultural experiences, videos, and our overall adventures living and traveling in Europe.
We're looking for more generic type names -- something that can roll off the tongue easily -- I don't want to feel like a fool saying the name for a video podcast.
*** THE NAME SHOULD NOT DIRECTLY RELATE TO TRAVEL OR FOOD, please think outside the box. ***
A few rules:
1. No countries or specific places in the name - we want the name to work no matter where we live.
2. .com must be available, no hyphens
3. Don't make the name related to one specific subject. Ex: we're not exclusively going to be posting about food, so leave that out.
4. We're not "lost" in transition/translation or wandering anywhere and we're definitely not nomads. We're also not 'just' travelers -- so leave that out of the title.
5. Make it easy to spell. Our audience will speak/read English, so stick to real words or at least words that are spelled as they sound. *** No made up web 2.0 buzzword names, please. ***
6. Don't use 'expat' - it's way too overused for this sort of thing.
7. Don't use 'blog' in the title - the name should work across multiple mediums. We may have a video podcast in addition to the blog, and who knows -- we may even end up with a book deal if our content is interesting enough.
Ideally a two word combo would be good, but it can be longer.
*** We are both in our late 20s, so the tone of the name needs to reflect that. We want something modern and fun, yet mature and with a level of sophistication/professionalism. *** - Domains We Like
