The term "data" literally translates from Latin as "something given". This contest is to determine a brand name as the recipient of that gift.

Starting points could be a noun (the character that would receive it) or a verb (the act of receiving this from someone else). The desired name, however, should convey authenticity, respect and value. Data is something to be widely treasured, after all. Feel free to be creative about any particular role that might be on the receiving end, while not necessarily being limited to anything utilitarian.

    Some other suggestions:

    • Try to avoid using the term "data" / "datum" in the name itself, as well as any distinctly technology-oriented terms. These include database-type languages, too.

    • While the original inspiration is from Latin, there are complexities in the language that make it less accurate when applied in the final result. Google Translate isn't the best source, either. That being said, open to the name being in Italian or French, as well as English.

    • There is a certain appeal to those terms with historical relevance, however please do not include anyone that is still living given the obvious trademark concerns.

    • Please do not reference the objective of the project (exhibit) in the name.
